25th ANNIVERSARY
& SPECIAL ORDER
INSTRUMENTS
"If you can imagine it, I can build it."
The 25th Anniversary Guitar is not a specific model, it's a state of mind. 25th Anniversary models are the culmination and celebration of my 25 years building the finest guitars I possibly can. Any model can become an anniversary edition, using the finest museum quality woods, custom inlay work themed to your special preference, and the skills that make my instruments prized by players and collectors around the world. I will only make 10 guitars this way, so if you feel the urge to own one of these rare beauties, please call me soon.
Special Order guitars can be virtually anything you want or need in an instrument. Custom inlay work, special fretting, left-handed axes, custom finishing or hardware -- they're all available. A look at the samples on this page will quickly show you that you're limited only by your imagination and your budget.
All model are available with traditional "f-hole," stylized "s-holes" or the most modern "a-hole" (it's OK to laugh) type sound holes. One of many options we'll discuss if you call about ordering.
As you look at the pictures in this section (and, really, all the pictures in this site) we ask you to be patient. Many of the photos are large and take a while to load with a normal phone connection. This is unfortunate, but when we were designing this site we had some choices to make between quality and download times. We ultimately decided that if you, the customer, are willing to consider paying $5000 or more dollars for a guitar, we should give you the best look we can at what that much guitar looks like. Hopefully, you'll agree that the extra wait is worth it.
25th Anniversary guitars will generally cost about $20,000. Special Order guitars are special and costs may be anywhere from the listed prices for any given model to much, much more. I realize what an investment this is for many people who want my instruments, so I am always willing to try to arrange terms that will fit your budget.
I should also mention that I'm developing a line of less expensive guitars under the PROLINE trademark. They maintain the same high level of craftsmanship as all my guitars but, in general, have less ornamentation than my regular instruments (e.g. single edge binding rather than double). Some musicians find these guitars an excellent way to get the quality they want at a cost they can afford. Please call for details.
Finally, I'd like to thank you for visiting this site and taking the time to consider a Ribbecke guitar. If you're a player you'll love the way they play and the way they sound. If you're a collector you'll appreciate their flawless looks and the fact that they "appreciate" also. As a player and a collector myself, I develop a sort of personal relationship with every instrument I build and sometimes it's hard to part with one... but I recognize the fact that others will love them as much as I do and take good care of them.
Can I build one for you?
