These instruments are available in a number of different materials including; Indian rosewood, Brazilian rosewood, mahogany, flamed koa, bigleaf maple, birdseye maple and European maple. As well as wenge, Cambodian rosewood, flamed walnut, padauk, flamed myrtle and the exquisite and extremely rare quilted and flamed mahogany.
Necks are most often one-piece mahogany built in the same style as detailed in the semi-hollow description. Rosette is flamed koa and boxwood. Fingerboards are ebony or Brazilian rosewood. Inlay is brass ringed abalone or standard dot inlay.
The adjustable truss rod is used in all steel strings. Wooden binding is also standard. Graphite laminate top bracing is used in conjunction with several types of "X" bracing to achieve desired goal. Oval sound holes are available but will affect the rosette design. Radial bracing patterns are offered for the back as well as impedance matching bridge designs. Trap doors are available for the tailblock structure. All of these features are available for customization at the clients request. And please note that there is a 10% cancellation fee.
